On 15 Jan I put up a post "Mighty Mouse scroll fix." Well I can
report that the skeptics were right. It was temporary. The behavior
of my wireless mouse steadily deteriorated and this week was replaced
under warranty. I gather plenty of others have been very
disappointed with these gadgets. From what I've read, I fear it
won't be too long before my new one goes the same way as the first.
Very heavy on batteries too. Is this the most environmentally
unfriendly computer mouse design of all time?

I have found the Mighty Mouse to be pretty crap as far as things. Apple really can't seem to get it right. It's really been a swing and a miss ever since the venerable beige Apple Desktop Mouse that shipped with the still-the-best-out-there Apple Extended Keyboard 2.

If you want a really decent wireless desktop mouse, you can't go past a Logitech VX Revolution. It's billed as a notebook mouse, but it's the perfect fit for a desktop. It uses a single AA battery that lasts for months.
