Thanks to Yvonne and Ray .
The Mp3 button only appeared when I went into preferences in iTunes.
Haven't tested the disk yet as my wife is out for the day with the
car with the Mp3 player.

looking at the playlist...bottom right side there should be three
buttons the first being burn disc or burn MP3 disc depending on
your preferences..... advanced/burning lets you choose audio or mp3
disc
