I use a BlueAnt SuperTooth II with my iPhone 3G and it works well. The internal rechargeable battery lasts for weeks even if I accidentally leave it on overnight or over the weekend.
I notice the SuperTooth Light model specifically says it is compatible with the iPhone and iPhone 3G, so I'd be surprised if you had any problems.
