Does it mean the dvd plays to the end and then continues to play on
starting from the beginning ?

Yes Bob, looping means continuously play the DVD over and over &
over ;-)
Yvonne check under "Options" (its at the bottom left), you probably
have "Auto-play disc on insert" & "Play all items continuously" checked.
Uncheck either or both as you require.
