After changing the "Ocean" feature did you quit Google Earth and then
restart it?

reference. Using some suggestions there, I did try 'Historical
Imagery' at various dates, also with no improvement. But selecting
'View in Google Maps' did give the correct image! Can anything be
worked out from that?

bit)" - Anisotropic Filtering "High" selected?
Google have released a new imagery update for Google Earth.

What computer & OS are you using. It might have something to do with
your Graphics card?

Working ok for me also. Shanghai, China loads correctly.
Google Earth 5.0.11733.9347
Try the same version as Susan & I have, see if that makes any
difference.
