Hi everyone,
Since installing Snow Leopard Excel quits unexpectedly ( about every

Also, less frequently, the machine will just log of without any

All other applications seem fine.
Any suggestions?
Hi Peter,
Are you using the latest Office 2008 for Mac? Using obsolete software
in Snow Leopard can cause slow downs & quits.
Are you using a HP Printer & using the HP Drivers?
Apparently HP Printer drivers in Snow Leopard are causing "Slowdowns"
in Excel, but I haven't heard of complete "Quits".
If you set your default printer in System Preferences/Print & Fax to
something which isn't using a HP printer driver, then the slowdowns
with Excel 2008 go away.
There is this thread on the MS forums.

It could be a Font issue. Have you tried booting in Safe Mode? If
Excel doesn't quit in Safe Mode, you might try using only System Fonts
until you work out what font is causing the problem.
Re: your "the machine will just log of without any user intervention".
This also could be related to Excel or obsolete software.

Hope you find a solution, without having to do a "clean" install of
Snow Leopard.
