Hi Denise, its much simpler to connect your iphone to your computer via its USB connection and download by syncing from iTunes. Are you also using this method? cheers, Susan.

Hi all
I'm a newbie to the iPhone and I know I'm supposed to be able to download
songs from iTunes onto my phone, using Bluetooth.
I've selected the Bluetooth icon on the very top of my iMac screen. It says
Bluetooth is on but then another window comes up saying
"Denise Williams's iMac" is the name Bluetooth devices use to connect
to this computer.

Then the 2 boxes underneath that are both ticked ie On is ticked and so is Discoverable. But then under that is a small picture of an iPhone and it says 'Denise Williams's iPhone not connected - it shows a small red dot.
On the right side of this window it says
Type Handsfree
Services Handsfree Gateway
Paired No
Connected No

I've checked the iPhone settings - General - Bluetooth and it shows as ON. It also shows a spinning wheel under Devices and constantly searches for something? Under that it says 'Now Discoverable' I have the iPhone sitting
next to the computer.

I am on an iMac with 10.5.8

All this effort has used so much of my valuable time, just so that I can put
a song or two on my iPhone!! Technology is for the nerds!

So are there any 'nerds' able to help me - I say that with the greatest
respect!
TIA
