I am helping my son, by phone and email at a distance between Albany and Mandurah, set up a Macbook and Time Capsule that he has got for his wife. This will add to an existing network of a desktop PC and a PC laptop communicating to the internet via a D-Link wireless modem/ router. For the Macbook it is intended that it connect wirelessly to the Time Capsule for Time Machine backup and internet traffic.
The following has been done and works.
1. The Time Capsule has been set up and is recognised from the Macbook and Time Machine backups are occurring. 2. Airport in the MacBook also recognises the D-Link wireless connection and we have just been talking through it on Skype.
3. The desktop PC connection via the D-Link is normal.
4. BUT the Time Capsule will not connect to the internet via the D- Link. The ethernet cable is correctly going from the WAN port to a port on the D-Link. Settings on the Time Capsule appear identical to those on my Airport Extreme to D-Link modem/router(non-wireless) setting in an almost identical LAN here in Albany.

Clearly there is just a simple setting needed.
All suggestions welcomed. Seasons Greetings to all.

I am sure that Boxing Day lethargy, on this warm afternoon, is not the greatest help!
