I have a disk assigned as Time Machine disk (no partitions) and in use
by Time Machine with accumulated backups. I wish to use some of the
spare space on the disk for storing other files. Are there potential
problems?
1. Will Time Machine recognise the other material or regard the whole
disk as its province and overwrite it?
2. Will there be a problem if Time Machine is actively backing up and
I write new material at the same time?
3. I realise that 2. may not be a problem if I turn off Time Machine
while copying other material.
4. For a variety of reasons I do not want to partition the drive.
Thoughts comments and experiences welcomed!
