I will be spending some time in the Manjimup area and I have a friend that is on Broadband. He is about 120 metres away. What is the best way of linking to his broad band? I presume some radio transmission.

Simple question, complex answer. Briefly put though, your neighbour will need a wireless router with some sort of external wireless antenna for best results. I would certainly seek expert advice on this in order to determine the best equipment to buy to get this done efficiently.

The basics of what you are trying to achieve are explained at

Introduction to Wireless Networking

and

Wireless Networking - PC World

for starters.
