Probably I'd start with... Backing up your important data ASAP
then booting off a system install DVD or CD and running the disk utilities program on the boot disk... Maybe run repair disk until you get no errors may need 2 or 3 passes Failing that doing a boot to single user (command S on startup ) then doing FSCK -fy If that fails.... checking that the memory sticks are mounted correctly If still happening Then if you have two or more memory sticks installed take all but one out and see if that fixes it, if not swap the memory stick with another one.. If you have more than 2 memory sticks mak sure you keap them apart so that you know which ones you've cycled through so that when/if you find one faulty one you can put only the good ones back in.
