Thanks Peter. But how do I install the driver without creating conflicts

I sent the above question at 9.25 am.
The above statement is not a criticism just a way of saying this is a
more recent comment. I realise that a request to the list does not put
anyone under an obligation to reply and nor would we want that.
Since then I have taken the plunge and downloaded the driver. At the
install stage I used a Custom Install and selected the 1260 driver.
After connecting to the 1260 and a restart and a search of my
applications folder I could find no trace of the the 1260. Not
despairing I clickrd on the Epson Scan icon and immediately the TX600FW
responded. I looked in the Epson Scan menus but could find no way of
choosing the 1260. Like-wise in System Preferences.
Maybe I am trying the impossoible.
