Good afternoon all, iMac i7 (27') OS 10.6.4, this problem seems to have started while using Microsoft Office 2008 and I think PowerPoint.
When any item in the main menu bar is selected a blank page with the word Characters in the header bar and the little rotating wheel (not the coloured ball) in its centre momentarily appears on the screen, there is a delay of a few seconds before the selected item responds. If an application (any application) is opened it appease several time in rapid succession before it opens. Office has been removed with the Office uninstaller but the problem persists. Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this please?
