Lyn Get the 3G model for the exra $100. Telstra, Optus and Vodafone all offer pre-paid Sims. No plans attached. Look at their options, and coverage, then get a sim card and only pay it up when you need it. Vodafone offer a card for around $1 posted to you, then you charge it when you need it. Get only a 16Gb unless you use heaps of photos and videos. Remember it's backed up on your Mac so you can backup, change and moderate content when ever you want to. I've got a 16Gb and it's only half full. Pay less now and when the new models come out in the next 18 months, you have enough to buy an new and improved model and sell the current one for reasonable price.
