Hi Rob, I went from the 3G to the 4 skipping the 3GS. Being a photography nut that was enough to do it for me. The camera and to a lesser extend the video capabilities was the clincher in choosing the 4 over the GS. I now have a point and shoot camera that is quite reasonable. Certainly not an SLR but it is always at hand. The HDR camera mode is a bonus and has allowed me to experiment with this technology.
Funny, even upgrading to iOS 4.1 on my 3G I never noticed a big decrease in
speed as others have mentioned. However the WiFi died and the Mobile reception
got weaker. The 3G is now an iPod touch for my daughter who loves it!!
