We have a previously set up wireless network & an Airport network. I believe the Modem driven network is sapping the airport capability.
It's a D Link G604T modem.
I don't know enough about it but a friend has tried removing the Modem network to no avail, it just re appears.
The kennyj (modem) network is matching the Airport network for speed on channel 6. The Airport is on channel 3. There is a network nearby that appears as well but that would be a neighbour.
Any ideas on how to permanently remove the kennyj network?
Any assistance much appreciated,
Hi Ken,
Have you disabled 'wireless' on the DLink G604T Modem? If you have an Airport Wireless Network, you don't want wireless activated on the DLink.
Open Safari (or any Web Browser) & to 10.1.1.1 and go into the wireless settings menu, then untick "Enable AP", and save and reboot.
Cheers, Ronni
