Hello Severin, I used e-Record for a year until the ATO pulled support for it and then I switched away from it. I still to have a copy installed just incase I need to access my old records but I have not fired up that copy for quite some time. I did take some notes on the non-standard layout of e-Record and thought that maybe these notes may be of help to you. Here is a trimmed down, cut-and-paste from my personal wiki, so please excuse the wiki style formatting and some redundancy.
Cheers, Carlo ==== Notes Begin ==== Free download from Australian Tax Office web site. Current version is e-Record version 6.1. Install application and data are placed in the directory /Informed® Links and documents are place in the /Applications folder (and a redundant copy on the desktop). To run use the link /Applications/e-Record 6 -> /Informed®/Data/Erecord2/WorksheetIndex2.ifm Documents and samples are in the folder: /Applications/Samples Other e-Record documents, such as one on un-installing, can be found at the ato website by searching on e-Record. The startup screen also prompts one to download RKET -- the record keeping evaluation tool. It is a Windows only application. [edit]Technical File Layout The link /Applications/e-Record 6 Points to the file /Informed®/Data/Erecord2/WorksheetIndex2.ifm Double clicking on the worksheet (or the link) opens the sheet with the default application /Applications/e-Record 6 FileNet eForms/Desktop eForms WorksheetIndex2.ifm points to business books that are stored in subdirectories below where it sits. For instance the books for <company name here>, used the four character code RWCL, and are thus stored in /Informed®/Data/Erecord2/RWCL In the directory RWCL is a tree of data files RWCL/AssetRegister2 RWCL.ifm (For businesses using the Simplified Taxation System only) RWCL/Instalment2 RWCL.ifm RWCL/StockLog2 RWCL.ifm (For businesses using the Simplified GST Accounting Method only) Cash books are stored in a further subdirectory reflecting their year. For example the 2008-2009 cahsbook is in RWCL/2009/CashBook2 RWCL 2009.ifm ==== Notes End ==== On 2011-01-23, at 22:58, Severin Crisp wrote: > I am having trouble with eRecord which is no longer supported by the ATO. > Does anyone know:- > 1.
