There's been a few posts lately re slow connections but the answers have been mainly about wireless connections. I cant use wireless on either of my wireless router modems on either phone wall plugs :( My office is between these two so I have to have a lan cable trailing thru the house.
On monday I had to unplug the modem so as to use the Fax and ever since plugging the modem back in, have been plagued by extremely slow internet browser speed, timeouts are common. Resets of the modem, frequent. Occasionally, speeds are back to normal for an hour or so. Email and other programs that connect to the net seem unaffected and Optus "assures" me my speed is normal ADSL2. Funny thing is that I am having to use my 3g iPad to do some browsing and often that is timing out as well. Solutions anyone? (in neanderthal, if possible) Using 10.6.6 on a 2.93GHz with 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory Regards, C.
