Thanks Adrian, As I mentioned in my previous email re: your External Drive. If you are only going to use this external drive on a Mac, you need to format it Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and now that we know it is an Intel iMac: GUID Partition Table - for bootability on Intel-based Macs
Let me know if you want a copy of my Tutorial how to Format & Partition the External drive correctly.
