Well I join the queue of fortune tellers who got surprised! Daniel, I think it's perfectly OK to complain about loss of income (although at $31.99 its not much per copy). I think I mentioned previously that while I can understand the business model, it is undermining the Apple resellers and Channel. That said, I've seen the writing on the wall for a long time and focussed on building services. What else can you do? Complaining won't change it. I do think it would be nice if Apple listened to constructive feedback, but when we are a throopteenth of the market the feedback is a whisper... I have no problem with Lion being on the App Store as long as there is an option for purchasing a physical copy. You're concerned about downloading it in the city!? Try downloading 4GB in the country. Sure the services are improving, but I've had many a time downloading 2GB IOS zipped images from Microsoft and had them fail/time out right at the end. Corrupted zip means download again - another bite out of the download limit. OK if you have a 100GB limit but not many people down here do. Heaven help our loyal Mac customers on Satellite and mobile broadband.
All that aside, looking forward to the upgrade.
