By way of comparison Speedtest gives my current speeds as download
1.29 Mbps and upload 0.13 Mbps. I am on Westnet ADSL1 (no ADSL2 in
Albany) and am up on Mount Clarence perhaps 2km from the exchange. I
know that the wiring to this small area went in about 20years ago and
has in part been worked over following uprootings due to natural
disasters.
