One of the options when creating an iDVD project is to produce a folder of all of the photos which is directly accessible from a computer. Most people do not choose this option when creating a DVD, so as a rule is not available. If the original project is still available then the media likewise would be accessible but my guess is this has been trashed a long time back. The only option is to play it with VLC or export with Streamclip and then open with QT and take a screenshot.
