If you just select and copy images from MS Word documents you usually only get a lower-than-original resolution image to paste.
The following will allow you to retrieve the original resolution image from MS Word. 1 Open the document in MS Word 2 Save the document as a web page (File>Save as Web Page…) 3 This will create a new folder in the same place where you saved the web version. The folder will have the name of your document plus "_files". 4 Look inside that folder and you will find files of each image in the document. Usually there are two files of each image; one a low-resolution version, and the other the original-resolution version.
