Thanks Hugh, I always reformat my cards in the camera because I know it causes problems. Now on to Ronni's advice on importing modes. Now they say they are doing maintenance :-( If you have imported photos from these cameras before into iPhoto on your Mac, the import setting on the cameras is already set correctly. The Canon USB interface name it PTP, other cameras either PTP, PictBridge or PTP/PictBridge. If you haven’t been able to use the cameras on your Mac as well, check the USB Cable, try another USB Cable.
