Alan, your comment about buffering radio to allow you to skip over annoying bits was the main reason for my WAMUG request a few days ago asking if anyone knew anything about a Mac USB stick for digital radio, similar to the Kaiser Baas sticks such as the <http://www.kaiserbaas.com/kaiser-baas-product-page/tv-tuners/digital-radio-usbstick> and the <http://www.kaiserbaas.com/kaiser-baas-product-page/tv-tuners/digital-radio-tvstick>. So far, no reply.
I also emailed Elgato, makers of the eyeTV sticks for Mac, asking if they were going to develop a stick for DAB+ radio, and they replied saying that they would raise my request at a management meeting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Meanwhile, I am still waiting to hear if anyone has managed to get one of the Kaiser Baas DAB+ sticks to work on a Mac. With Windows, they work via Microsoft's Media Centre, so could they work with QuickTime player? If you live in or near Perth, and can get a DAB+ stick to work with your Mac, then you will be able to buffer, delay, and record any of the myriad radio stations available on DAB+; currently there are the following channels available on Perth's two DAB+ transmitters, both situated on the NEW 10 Tower Welshpool Road, Carmel : 6IX 6PR 92.9 FM 96.1 FM MIX - 94.5 NOVA - 93.7 720 ABC Perth ABC Classic FM ABC NewsRadio ABC Radio National SBS triple j Barry Hot Country Perth Digital MY Perth Digital Novanation Radar Radio The Buckle The Main Stage ABC Country ABC Dig Music ABC Grandstand ABC Jazz SBS Chill SBS PopAsia SBS Radio 1 SBS Radio 2 triple j Unearthed On 07/10/2011, at 5:08 AM, Alan Smith wrote: > Hello Ray > > Thanks for your very helpful response.
