Hi Ian, To follow up on your question at the meeting, here is a link to the iPad version of the New York Times subscription app. Because the New York Times has agreed to Apples new subscription model, the app will automatically place itself in the Newsstand app and update its contents daily.
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nyt-editors-choice/id357066198?mt=8 This is the free, non-subscription version so only a portion of the stories will be accessible. You can upgrade to the full version by paying for editions of the paper or a subscription from within the app. And for interest sake this article that states that the NY Times app has seen 1.8 million downloads this week and speculates that digital downloads may save the troubled news print companies. http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/finance/2011/1027/1224306561527.html Cheers, Carlo -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml> Guidelines - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml> Settings & Unsubscribe - <http://lists.wamug.org.au/listinfo/wamug.org.au-wamug>
