Are you receiving any error?

I never used Backup when on MobileMe but you perhaps could try:
Log out of MobileMe, Restart your Mac, log back in and see if the problem 
continues.

If not, go to http://www.apple.com/support/mobileme/

Select +Backup & iChat,+ then Backup, then try the +Express Lane+ link at the 
bottom.

Also if you have a very large backup Plan (over 4 GB)?

Can you divide it into smaller plans? Apple does not recommend exceeding 1 GB 
for backups to iDisk, although sometimes they do work. See the second point 
under *I can't perform a backup to my iDisk* here: 
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1716
