Second, I have a dead Intel Core Duo iMac 17" that gave the blue puff of smoke - i have replaced the power/transformer board, but the computer still refuses to boot, so I'm thinking its the DC/DC convertor board - again, anybody got an old iMac they wish to get rid of, or got bits n pieces that i could raid? Third, I have a quicksilver 800mhx G4 tower (which works well :) ), but keeps kernel panicking when i try boot up from a 10.4.4 CD to reinstall OSX what would cause this? I've looked online, but nothing substantial has come up (the computer is fine - i reset PRAM/NVRAM, the HD is fine etc etc) would using a later 10.4.9/10/11 disc be an idea to try?? and lastly - if i get these going and cleaned up, is there anybody who would want to take the eMac and iMac of my hands or knows somebody that would give them to people who need them? (I want to keep the G4 Tower as a file server) By all means contact me off list if you wish Thanks guys Ash Ashley Mulder MRACI BSc (Forensic and Analytical Chemistry) | (Forensic Science Hons.)
