I'd very much like help please. For the sake of running AppleWorks an Eudora my MacBook Pro late 2010 6,1 is running OS X 10.6.8 and will only shut down when the power button is held down. It won't from either the Apple's Restart or Shut Down.
I have re-installed 10.6.8 and all updates, reset pram & SMC. I have both Time Machine and SuperDuper backups.
