Hi Lynn,

Many leaks have pointed to a smaller connector for the next model of iPhone. 
There may be an adaptor for some applications. If indeed there are 19 pins in 
the new adaptor as opposed to 30 in the old then some accessories may not 
continue to function in the old way and may have to connect via bluetooth 
instead. My guess is that simple sound out will remain on the new connector and 
may be accessible by an adaptor.
