Hi Tony, I find Open Office to be slightly more problematic than MS Word but one solution is for your wife to download and install Open Office on her laptop. It is free after all. As a minor variation on this; the last time I looked into this deeply, about a year ago, Libre Office was a far more vibrant fork of Open Office -- Open Office at the time was moribund as an open source project. I believe that since then Open Office has recovered somewhat. In any case, here is a link to download Libre Office
