Geoff and Kaye, and Robert, I have decided to give him one of my own Canon printers which has an OS 9 driver. Stylewriters are a bit clunky and past their use-by date. It is a Canon i560 which has separate ink tanks (without chips) that are cheap as chips from Hong Kong. I have been refilling the tanks for years and of late, using the HK tanks and I know it will serve him well.
