Put it back Severin! Akamai is a very respectable and well established company that maintains a worldwide content delivery network that companies like Apple use for distributing and speeding up the delivery of their media all over the globe. When watching Apple live keynote streams you will often see Akamai in the URL or HTML code.
Akamai partners with many companies and institutions and shouldn't be seen as in any way disreputable.
