If you’re using iCloud to store your contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and notes, 
DON'T also sync them to your devices using iTunes. 

Check that you have iCloud setup correctly on your Mac & iDevices.
Check your iCloud Settings on your Mac  - System Preferences > iCloud, and on 
your iPhone / iPad - Settings > iCloud
If you have these items checked, you must uncheck them in iTunes.
