Perhaps it is coincidence but I have been unable to use my Epson TX710W Printer as a scanner since I upgraded to Maverick
The unit prints and copies fine but when SCAN is selected from the Epson unit my screen does not display the Scanner box that in the past allowed me to select and scan a document.
I am receiving a message on the Epson to the effect that I have a Communication Error. Make sure computer is connected and try again
As an alternative I went through System Preferences and selected Printer/Scanner then SCAN and selected Scan to Desktop
I document was scanned but not to the Desktop or Documents or other sites.
I was able to scan using this method until this week when that too stopped functioning
I downloaded Image Capture V 6.3 as an alternative but this simply tells me that my Epson scanner is in use.
I have already downloaded and installed Epson driver 2.15.1
Does anyone have any suggestions on other options I could try
