I receive all messages on all my devices and can reply/continue conversation to the sender from any of my devices. A couple of things you could check: 1. In Settings > Notification Center > Messages - Do you have selected 'Alerts', 'Alert Sound', 'Show in Notification Center', 'Show on Lock Screen' - 'Show Preview' - Repeat Alerts Once (or more) - 'Show Alerts from Everyone'? 2. In Settings > Messages - Do you have selected 'Send Read Receipts', 'Send as SMS, 'Send & Receive' - 'You Can Be Reached By iMessage at' do you have your Apple ID 'email address' and your iPhone 'Mobile Number' listed - 'Start New Conversations from' your Apple ID email address? In Settings > Messages - Send & Receive - that you have iPhone number and iCloud email addresses > > 2. Just drop the PDFs into iBooks on your Mac Then connect your iPad and select the PDFs under iBooks and sync them to my iPad. Sync Books to iPad or iPhone 1. Connect iPad to your Mac 2. Open iTunes 3. Click iPad under Devices (Books will then appear in the Menu at top) 4. Click Books 5. Top left where it says Sync Books - (instead of choosing 'All Books') choose 'Selected Books' 6. Tick all the books you want on iPad (or select ‘All Books’ if you want to sync all books) 7.
