For several days I have received an Alert message box in the middle of the screen after waking the iMac from sleep. This fades away after a few seconds, before I can fully comprehend the message. (Similar to a Notification banner.)
Can such messages be retrieved from a file somewhere? Or is there a setting for user control to close the message box? (Message was something like “server connections interrupted” and showed a “Data” disk. I assumed this was Time Machine / Time Capsule related. Today I shut everything down, then restored modem, TC, and iMac in sequence. No alert message appeared.)
