Jsut as a followup: I have just taken the time to test Voila on my iMac. Previously I had only tried it on my Retina Macbook Pro. It works perfectly on the iMac, so I suspect is has something to do with with the Retina display. I say this, of course, with no idea of what sort of display you are using. Their web site does not seem to have a support forum. It occurs to me that I have never before had cause to use it on my Retina MBP. It was just something that came up last week that caused me to try it out, so it's just possible it's always been a problem. I can confirm, though, that Yosemite is NOT the culprit.
