Hi Brian Plug in the iPhone and Quit iTunes/iPhone. Then go to Applications folder and open Image Capture. Under Devices you should see your iPhone, click on this. On the right hand side, you should see all your photos and videos etc. You "may" see it there. In which case you can click it to highlight it and then choose to Import it to say "Pictures" folder or "Desktop" or elsewhere.
Try that and see how you go.
