Hi Bill, This means the app you tried to open was not registered with Apple by an identified developer. This doesn’t necessarily mean that something’s wrong with the app. For example, some apps were written before developer ID registration began. However, the app has not been reviewed. Also, there is no way for OS X to check whether the app has been modified or broken since it was released. A common way to distribute malware is to take an innocent app and insert harmful code into it, and then redistribute the infected app. If you are sure you have downloaded Avery from the correct site or upgraded it directly from Avery and you are also sure that version 1.0.2 is compatible with OS X 10.9.5 you can. You can choose to override your security settings and open the app anyway. In the Finder, locate the app you want to open. Most apps can be found in the Applications folder. 1. Press the Control-key, then click the app icon. 2. Choose Open from the shortcut menu. 3. Click Open. The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you will be able to open it in the future by double-clicking it, just like any authorized app. Cheers, Ronni 13-inch MacBook Air (April 2014) 1.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost to 3.3GHz 8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM 512GB PCIe-based Flash Storage OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 > > Regards Bill
