Hi Severin,

Do you have TTP installed?
If so, do you have TechTool Pro Protection ‘Directory Backup’ feature enabled 
in the TechTool Protection System Preferences panel?
The Directory Backup feature, creates a copy of each hard drive’s catalog (a 
file that tracks the files on the drive). 
If so it will be backing up the TechTool Pro Protection folder every four hours 
(or whatever you have it set for).
