Currently I have a firewire external drive, bootable with its own installed El
Capitan System from which I can run full tests with TT Pro or Disk Warrior or
whatever on my principal iMac or other external drives. All the drives are
directly connected “daughters” of the iMac. It occurs to me that I ought to
be able to duplicate this procedure from a wirelessly linked MacBook Air,
however, TT Pro on the MB Air can not “see” the iMac drive even though I
connected to it and can run iMac apps from the MB Air. I suspect this
facility just does not exist.
