Hi I have an iMac 20” early 2008 model that is running OS X 10.10 Yosemite and I wish to move it back to OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks.
I have been reading Ronni’s, “Re: Clean Install of Mavericks” (04Dec2014), from the archives with regard to the Check and back up, I have transferred the entire contents to a newer iMac 27” late 2009 model. This is running OS X 10.10.5 and with a larger memory. 20GB, it handles Yosemite with less strain the 20” one does. I noticed the recent post, “Mavericks” and the conversation between Kevin and Ronni. In it Ronni mentioned that there was and “OSXupdcombo 10.9.5” that would be required to get the OS up to final version of 10.9.5. I have just downloaded “OSXUpdCombo10.9.5.dmg” and have put it next to my Install OS X Mavericks.app on a flash drive ready for the installation. My question here is do I just install the mavericks as per the Clean install guideline and then run the update combo over it? Thanks Matt. -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml> Guidelines - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml> Settings & Unsubscribe - <http://lists.wamug.org.au/listinfo/wamug.org.au-wamug>
