At last! A kindred voice from the wilderness! I can see some small point in a wireless mouse, mainly from the point of view of being useful for Presentations when you might be some distance from your computer, but a keyboard? How far away from your screen do you want to get?? At least with an Apple wireless keyboard or mouse you’re using Bluetooth, but most other wireless keyboards and mice on the market rely on a small transmitter which has to plug in to a USB port, so you might as well use a cable anyway! The other point is that Apple wired keyboards have a couple of handy USB ports built into them, while their wireless counterparts don’t, reducing their utility even further. I’ve just taken deliver of a nice new iMac, and of course it comes standard with a wireless keyboard. I did insist on the extended keyboard, though. I just can’t bring myself to use the short one. I could go on but I’ll stop here...
