Amongst my Mac lineup I have two running 10.6.8; a MacBook and an iMac. One sits off the network, but strangely both have suddenly become unusable having to startup in Safe Mode. The MacBook has lost Wifi and when I try to connect it tells me that there is no airport card installed. The iMac also has to be started in Safe Mode. It will not show any USB stick inserted and when I try to burn a cd with Toast, Toast will not open. If I try and view a photo it shows as a blank rectangle. Never seen anything like this in the many years of restoring Macs for distribution.
There are many faults showing up and I feel it may be something to do with 10.6.8 and my ISP, Vivid Wireless. I want to install an upgrade to10.7.5, but do not have an bootable disk or USB stick with that OS on it. Any ideas please.
