Malware Removal Tool (MRT) ver 1.45 was automatically installed by Apple a few days ago to resolve an issue with the Zoom app. It seems that “obsolete” Macs do not get the automatic update. What is the best way to manually download and install MRTConfigData 1.45?
My family group has three obsolete Macs - a MBA 2012, iMac late 2012 and iMac late 2009 - as well as more recent model Macs. All the obsolete Macs had the Zoom app installed in the past so probably have the bad local web server still installed. The last MRT patch installed on the 2009 iMac was ver 1.35 dated June ’18. Should all MRTConfigData files from ver 1.35 to 1.45 be installed? The 2009 iMac has macos High Sierra, all others have macos Mojave.
