Hello Group,

many thanks for the responses.  Yes, I have gone through all the reset 
suggestions that have been made, including the Modem Restart,  and initially, 
no result.  However, after the umpteenth attempt, the iPad WIFI responded 
briefly and then died again.  We left it sleeping for some hours and Julie went 
back a short time ago, entered the Settings and the beast is now working.  Will 
see how long this lasts.
