Hi Alan.
You probably need a more experienced answer than mine.

However as far as I am aware Adobe Flash Player is notorious for carrying 
Malware.

In fact a few months ago I ran a scan on my daughter’s iMac just after she 
installed Flash Player without realising.
It cleaned out 5 instances of Malware.
