Hi Robin, Thanks for responding.
It all came good about 12 o’clock. Perhaps this was due to time lag between me deleting the app this morning and the App Store conducting a routine check of my installed apps for possible updates. The initial notification was received around end of February but I didn’t try to download it for about a week. When I tried to update the app I got a message from Apple to effect “developer has removed the app from the store”. App Store notification then reverted to an “available download”! I hoped that a system upgrade to Big Sur might have fixed it (somewhat like Garage Band which needed Big Sur to update). Big Sur 11.3 didn’t fix the EtreCheck issue and has left me with other things that are not working as they should.
