I have run Parallels Desktop on a client's M1 iMac as a way of solving their
dilemma with MYOB. They’re having to run the Windows version to get around
MYOB’s incompatibility with both hardware and the OS. Parallels runs Windows 10
just fine on an M1 chip under Big Sur!

The other physical limitations have been with us for years, and can be dealt
with one way or another. No panic yet though - my old faithful is still running
fine.
